Arvie came through big time!!  We were able to nab a primo spot at a hard-to-get FL State Park campground during the Thanksgiving holiday. I almost hate sharing this because I feel like Arvie is our "secret weapon" to getting campsites but I have to say... We love Arvie! It has enabled adventures for us that would otherwise not have been there given the competitive landscape of acquiring a campsite (and who knew it would be so competitive?!) With our travel style we are often booking less than a week out.  Arvie has come through many times for us.  Getting us sites in Grand Teton and other locations on a 3 day notice.  Most recently in Alum Creek State Park in Ohio where we will be for 4 nights starting in one week. I have used Arvie for 14 months.  On balance, 3 stars is my current assessment of the value of this subscription service.  The primary good feature is the auto-book service.  Unfortunately, this one good feature does not provide $140 of value given the following issues I experienced:
1. The Arvie website is clunky to use.  I must re-populate all my personal RV data for each search, the webpage is not optimized for mobile devices, and there is no app that could make all this better, faster, and easier.
2.  There is no notification of auto-renew and opportunity to cancel.  Every subscription service I have offers me this courtesy.  I don’t care that I can call and cancel, by placing the burden on me to notice the renewal charge on my account this you are making it clear you are prioritizing the monetization of your service over my convenience.
3. There is no convenient source of participating campground information other than a map on the clunky website, nor does Arvie send any updates to its membership about changes to participating campgrounds or other service updates.  Since I started using Arvie, they lost participation with many campgrounds including the entire Alabama State Park system.  Arvie did not sent notice to its membership of this change.  The only way I found out was to try and use Arvie to book a spot where I had used the service before only to discover that campground was no longer included.  Again, another example of prioritizing monetization value over service.

I cancelled my membership after the first year by calling when I noticed my card was charged the $140 fee.  I renewed my membership 30 days later when I was enticed by an email offer of 50% off.  Then I discovered Arvie lost participation with the Alabama State Parks - and I live in Alabama.  All in all, I currently value the Arvie service at $40-$50.  I will not renew again, even at 50% off and even if they add back the Alabama State Parks.  In order to get 5 stars you need to provide good service that is easy to use.

Response:  Thanks Mark!  I am happy to hear there are improvements on the way.  I want Arvie to be successful so I can have an easy and convenient way to book spots at all the busy campgrounds.  I appreciate the offer of a refund, but that was not the purpose of my review.  Please keep my payment and consider it a tiny donation towards the future improvements. I travel extensively in my rv and like to fly by the seat of my pants rather than planning things months or a year in advance. To that end, I have found the Arvie automatic search and book function tremendously useful. For example, I wanted to stay in a Florida State Park next weekend, but the sites were all sold out. I started a sold-out search with Auto booking and a day later I got a text and an email that Arvie had found an opening and booked me for the weekend. Seamless!
